Millie Bobby Brown is being harshly criticized for the 2020 SAG Awards red carpet search for apparently dressing much too’mature’ for her age for some, and honestly, some people simply need to go easy on Millie.
What’s up guys, it’s Sussan Mourad here using Clevver News… so you know you made an effect when it’s Tuesday and you’re still being spoken about more than something that travelled days ago.
I was fortunate enough to be there covering the SAGs red carpet on Sunday and that I believed Millie looked gorgeous as you can see here in this little clip I captured of her chatting to a different media outlet. She had been really glowing!
To finish her look, Millie wore her hair down using a full face of unbiased makeup and diamond Cartier accessories.
She told colleagues the Louis V team created the appearance particularly for her, and that they brought her eyesight of a high-fashion appearance to life.
She opened up to Folks about her appearance, saying, ““It is everything I sort of wanted. I certainly wanted to go for a manly, but quite feminine appearance – and they made it right according to usual.”
Regrettably, Millie’s vision wasn’t precisely the vision some of her fans had in mind for her.
And I would like to say, these words and opinions aren’t mine or anyone else’s here at Clevver, but what specific people and commenters are saying, and we’re just reporting on it. Her staff and millie were under fire for what’s being referred to by online critics because a QUOTE’unsuitable’ and QUOTE’bothering’ search for a teenage girl. Personally, I think that kind of language is unwarranted when speaking about Millie let alone someone who is 15.
Though this wasn’t her first time fashioning a look by Louis Vuitton, one user called her out stylist, writing,”Millie Bobby Brown’s stylist should sacked. She is only 15-years-old however appeared at 30 at the Sag awards last night. So upsetting.”
Another wrote,”Her makeup and dress is what aged her, but to be honest, this is not the first time her staff has set her into something that makes her look double her actual age. I think they’re attempting to brand her into a mature image, but it’s definitely cringey to see.”
Millie was also criticized for debuting way too much cleavage for a 15-year old, and if posing alongside her Stranger Things co-stars about the carpeting, there appeared to be an obvious difference in the way they were dressed.
Still another user moved IN about the comparisons, saying,”She looks like she could be Natalie Portman or Celine Dion. I don’t find a 15-year-old here. She seems like she’s an adult cast member crashing the teen photo.”
Fans were quick to come into Millie’s defense, using the fact that the entire world seemed to be trash-talking a teenager, which may ultimately cause considerably more play than one outfit.
One fan said,”Funny how people can say things about Millie Bobby Brown being young, but they’re quite pleased to speak crap her. In the event you think she should behave like a kid then stop assaulting her, she is after all just 15 and some people feel it’s ok to insult her.”
Well said, I could not agree more. I think folks are quick to judge Millie because of her outfit options, but fail to realise that that same 15 year old is being harshly criticised, that will get such a negative effect on someone Millie’s age.
Others made a fantastic point that critics are constantly advocating girls to dress how they wish to dress as a freedom of expression, except as it pertains to Millie Bobby Brown.
Another point made was that people are bashing Jojo Siwa for dressing too similar to a child as a 16-year-old, and Millie for dressing too much like an adult… so basically, can we just allow the women live?!
So if you haven’t kept up on all the latest Millie news, then you could probably guess that this isn’t the first time her outfit options are the center of controversy.
But what do you guys think about all of this? Did you love the appearance of Millie? And do you feel the critics need to back off? Share your thoughts down here in the comments and don’t forget to subscribe and click over here to take a look at another new video.
